Larry Winget
the truth hurts thats how you know its the truth.
the truth will set you free, but first it will piss you off.
if u arent putting your time, energy and money into something, you dont give a damn about it, you always put in time, energy and money into the things that are important to you,
draw a line in the sand in front of you and dont compromise on your standards. let kids do wht there interest tell them and expect them to give it there all. expect them to give it there best shot.
if they werent the best, it didnt mean they shouldnt give it there best.
the ability to expect the best from himself.
i am a big believer in enforcing consequences and letting people experience the pain of their bad decisions. only then can the lesson be learned,
most ppl dont seem to be able to draw the correlation between their behaviours and their results. either blaming it on society or bad luck.
we all experience the consequence of our choices, learn the lessons and you can have whatever you are willing to work for.
lessons come in the form of consequences.
john abrams- if the people who make the the decisions are the people who will also bear the consequences of those decisions, perhaps better ecisions will result.
robert g ingersoll - in nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments there are consequences.
tim hansel - the lord gave you 2 ends, one for sitting and one for thinking, your success deends upon which one you use, heads you win, tails you lose.
life is not abut the haves and the have nots, its about the wills and the will nots.
wishful thinking is not a strategy fot success.
you dont have to be good to start, you just have to start to be good
to stop being an idiot - recognition, education, application
- what i expect from myself
- my consequences
- my habits are
my replacement activities
- lessons i have learnt from my role models?
plan for my life:
- financial
-physical
-mental
-social
-career
-spiritual
-family
-other secret stuff
- i wil give up...
when you sow an action, you reap a habit
when you sow a habit, you reap a character
when you sow a character, you reap a destiny,
the best helping hand you will ever find is at the end of your own first.
decide to change
know why it is important for you to change
be willing to do whatever it takes to change
do whatever it takes to change
when you fail dust yourself off
when you get there celebrate
move on
become totally committed.
the ability to have responsibility for who you are and what you do
focus on accomplishment and not activity
why is it important to reach my goals.
focus, responsibility, visions and goals, perserverance.
rise above the approval of others. "what you think of me is none of my business,
----
- titles attract attention, from a market standpoint is good, as you an only teach ppl something, if you get
their attention. a closed book written properly that sits on a shelf doesnt teach anyone anything.
- in life and business, only those who chose to live on the edge, are the ones who make history. no one in the middle ground or centrist position impact society as much. they change the world, because they dont do the safe things. they dont follow the status quo.
- knowledge is not power, the implementation of knowledge is power. - What you know makes little or no difference in your life. What you DO, with what you know makes all the difference in the world.
larry wingets principles:
- your life is your own damn fault.
- take responsibility for it.
- learn what you need to fix it.
- take action on what youve learnt.
- enjoy the results.
- Your life is the way it is because of the actions you have taken.
- Your actions produce your results.
- You can comtemplate success all you want and your life wont change. - it is always going to come down to the actions you take.
- we cling to the idea that maybe it is someone elses fault that we are unhappy, unsuccessful, sick and broke.
- Saying it alone will not make it happen, saying what you want only increases the want, it doesnt create the reality, action turns your wants into reality.
- when you dont expect much from people, they dont deliver much, when you raise expectations of ppl, they tend to give more.
-its not about being the best, its about doing your best.
- when you mess up, big deal, admit it and fix it and move on.
- when you sow an action, you reap a habit,
when you sow a habit, you reap a character,
when you sow a character, you reap a destiny,
- the best helping hand you will ever find is at the end of your own wrist.
- to stop being an idiot it takes only three things, recognition, education and application.
- recognition of what you have now, who you are, your faults.
- education,
- the lord gave you 2 ends, one for sitting and one for thinking. your success depends upon which one you use.
heads you win, tail you lose. - tim hansel.
"no matter how smart you are, you spend most of your day being an idiot - Scott Adams - The Dilbert future."
